Who We Are:
GlobeCoRe Inc is an Atlanta based full service psychological and global consulting practice specializing in empowerment and multicultural mental health across the lifespan for individuals, couples, families, groups and organizations. With a commitment to diversity and cultural inclusion and humility, we specialize in providing therapy, psychological evaluation, medication management, DEI Evaluation, personal development courses & corporate training, cultural immersion experiences and consultation & supervision that is culturally sensitive, holistic, and that meets clients where they are. Our diverse programs aim to help clients identify and work through historical trauma while deconstructing cultural injustices and oppression, sorting through identity and self-esteem struggles and working towards social justice for all. We also specialize in supporting clients through struggles with addiction; fertility, pregnancy & parenting; LGBTQI+; aging; finding deserving love; racial, ethnic and religious stressors; work-related and academic stressors; depression & anxiety; finding purpose; relationship, identity and marriage issues; developmental & intellectual disabilities; grief & loss; and other types of trauma.
We work with clients across ALL racial, ethnic, religious and nationality groups and we are Racial Justice Allied, LGBTQI+ Allied, gender allied, HIV/AIDS Allied, Disability Allied, and Body Positive.
As you will see throughout our website and in our offices, we use the bamboo to symbolize strength, flexibility, and health. Its strength teaches us to stand upright and its flexibility teaches us to adapt to the harshest circumstances. The combination of these virtues teaches us how to find balance and inner peace in our lives, in turn improving our health. This is our goal for you!
How We Started:
GlobeCoRe was founded in November 2010 in Atlanta, Georgia by our president, Kelly M. Lewis-Arthur, Ph.D. (affectionately known as Dr. Kelly) with the aim to improve the lives of underrepresented communities globally by creating and managing programs that work, conducting culturally sensitive therapy and psychological evaluation, supporting organizational change, and training for diversity outcomes and results in a global market. It all started with a vision inspired by her long-standing international development work in Africa and the Caribbean, and over 20 years of experience in social justice work. Combined with her decades of management consulting and research work as a university professor, Dr. Kelly realized the need to create, evaluate, educate and advocate for individual, organizational, and community change on a larger scale, nationally and internationally. This shaped our formal vision at GlobeCoRe for Better People, Better Programs, In a Better World and laid the foundation for our two branches at GlobeCoRe: Psychological Services & Consulting Services. We now work diligently to provide diverse services in a variety of domains to individuals, couples, families, groups, and organizations and we continue to grow as an organization bringing on diverse clinicians, consultants and staff that meet the diverse needs of our clients.
