Consequences from loss
Life moves quickly and can change abruptly. Losing a loved one, whether it is expected or sudden, can leave you feeling empty and at a loss.
It can also be challenging to try and reintegrate back into your life; and sometimes pain from loss can be overwhelming, leading to all kinds of difficult emotions.
Loss can lead to a sense of meaninglessness inside you.
Time to grieve but must overcome
Grief is not an unusual response to the loss of someone you love. It is a natural response, but extended grief can have a negative impact on your life.
Extended grief can cause feelings of guilt or self-blame, intense sorrow, difficulty maintaining focus, numbness or detachment, hopelessness, thoughts of death, difficulty accepting the reality of the loss, trouble with carrying out normal activities, an inability to experience joy, isolation, and a preoccupation with worthlessness.
Gaining perspective with a little help
