About Dr. Caroline Sagrera

Dr. Caroline Sagrera is an Emory-trained psychiatrist at GlobeCoRe, where she provides comprehensive psychiatric care and advanced treatment options for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and other mood disorders. Her clinical work includes medication management and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), with a particular focus on helping patients whose symptoms have not adequately improved with medication alone. Dr. Sagrera earned her medical degree from LSU Health Shreveport School of Medicine and a Master of Science in Global Health Sciences from the University of California, San Francisco, and completed additional clinical training at Yale School of Medicine. She is currently completing her psychiatry residency at Emory University School of Medicine, where she has been recognized for excellence in psychiatry and psychotherapy.

At GlobeCoRe, Dr. Sagrera brings together evidence-based psychiatry, emerging treatments such as TMS, and a deeply individualized approach to care. She has a special clinical interest in women’s mental health across the lifespan, including perinatal and perimenopausal mental health as well as treatment-resistant depression, anxiety, trauma, and complex medication management. Her background in global health, psychotherapy, and integrative wellness informs a whole-person approach centered on understanding each patient’s story, goals, and previous treatment experiences. Working alongside GlobeCoRe’s experienced, board-certified psychiatrists while completing specialized TMS training, Dr. Sagrera helps patients explore thoughtful treatment options designed not simply to manage symptoms, but to help them move toward meaningful and lasting improvement.

Is TMS Right for You?

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an FDA-cleared, non-invasive, drug-free treatment for depression — especially when medication hasn’t brought enough relief. Sessions are done in-office with no anesthesia and no downtime, so you can drive yourself home and return to your day right afterward. If you’ve tried medication and still don’t feel like yourself, TMS at GlobeCoRe may be worth discussing.

What It’s Like to Work with Me

“I want you to leave each visit feeling understood and hopeful. I take time to understand your story — what you’ve tried and what a good life looks like to you — before we build a plan together. With medication management, that means being thoughtful and transparent and never adding more than you need. I also offer TMS, a proven, non-invasive option for people whom medication alone hasn’t been enough for. You’ll always be a partner in your care.”
